GOOD NEWS – During the last week, our Diocese formally became a Partner of Green Pastures and the Outreach Housing Group is delighted to announce that we now have a house! Green Pastures put an offer on a house in Bensham and on Wednesday the offer was accepted. We hope that this will soon become a home for refugees who are at risk of homelessness. More details of how everyone can support this project will come soon but please keep it all in your prayers.

PRAYER FOR COP 26 – Cop 26 begins on 31st October in Glasgow. St Peter’s church will be open for a time of personal prayer and reflection on Sunday 31st October 3.00pm-5.00pm. Please come along for as long or short a time as you choose.
CHRISTMAS APPEAL 2021 – this weekend we are launching our Outreach Christmas Appeal. Please read the attachment which outlines the project and explains how we can contribute. Once again we have joined our appeal to the LOVE CHRISTMAScampaign which is an ecumenical initiative bringing churches together across the UK to spread the love and joy of Christmas to those in need.
JOE’S PLACE
Joe’s Place re-opened last Wednesday. Takeaway food only is being served because of the need for social distancing and our concern to keep everyone safe. Due to the amazing generosity of our parishes and a wonderful food donation from St Augustine’s Primary School, no further food donations are needed at this time.
FOOD CO-OP
Food donations can be left at Corpus Christi Church Mon, Tues, or Wed from 10am–12pm or St Peter’s presbytery back door at any time in the container provided.
Please bring fresh fruit and vegetables only on Sat, Sun, Mon and Tues. Items requested:

St Peter’s: Mass will be celebrated on Sunday at 11.00am and Wednesday at 10.00am. It is essential to book for Sunday at St Peter’s. Phone 07434 646950 on Thursday 3pm-7pm.
