CHRISTMAS APPEAL
Please bring food items for the Christmas Bags, toiletries or new toys for the Toy Appeal to the hall door at St Peter’s or the presbytery at Corpus Christi at the following times over this weekend and next weekend. The lists of items required are in the Christmas attachment.
- Saturday 27th November 2pm – 4pm and Sunday 28th November 10am – 12 midday
- Saturday 4th December 2pm – 4pm and Sunday 5th December 10am – 12midday.
GARDENING HELP NEEDED
Our Laudato Si’ Group are appealing for help to clear a small area of ground behind the church hall. This is for a project to create a community vegetable garden. The clearing session is this Sunday 28th November 1.30-3.30 pm. As this is a small area numbers will be restricted so please ring Anne Porter: 07963 304364 for a time slot. Please bring your own tools. NB The area is not suitable for children and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Thank you.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHRISTMAS
Christmas can be a difficult time financially for many people. If any parishioner needs help towards paying a bill or buying food, please see Fthr Keith if you attend St Peter’s or Deacon Tom Rooke if you attend Corpus Christi. All help is confidential.
JOE’S PLACE
As we prepare to reopen with hot meals, Joe’s Place is appealing for the following food items which can be placed at any time in the container at St Peter’s presbytery back door.
TINS OF MINCE, STEWING STEAK, FRUIT
INSTANT MASHED POTATO, CUSTARD, CRUMBLE MIX
FOOD CO-OP
Food donations can be left at Corpus Christi Church Mon, Tues, or Wed from 10am–12pm or St Peter’s presbytery back door at any time in the container provided.
Fresh fruit and vegetables only Sat – Tues. Items required:
FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES including GARLIC
LONG LIFE MILK, BISCUITS, PASTA SAUCE, FLOUR
TINS OF STEWING STEAK, CORNED BEEF AND FRUIT
BOOKING FOR MASS
Corpus Christi: Mass will be celebrated on Sunday at 9.15am and Thursday at 10.00am.
St Peter’s: Mass will be celebrated on Sunday at 11.00am and Wednesday at 10.00am. It is essential to book for Sunday at St Peter’s. Phone 07434 646950 on Thursday 3pm-7pm.
